Bank of England declares Britons love affair with retail is at an end as M&S (UK's biggest clothing retailer) offers 25% discounts in high street hit-and-run-price cutting tactics in an attempt to reverse the trend in the run up to Christmas


Marks & Spencer is cutting the price of all it's clothing and wine by 20 pc today and wouldn't rule out the idea of making further daily discounts to drive customers through their doors!

Many retailers are expected to follow suit;
  • GAP are offering 30 pc discount for staff, friends & family
  • Threshers is offering 40 pc discounts

Here come the girls
So has the free-spending days on designer clothing - epitomised by WAGs come to an end - we think not!
